Peoria Garden Club

scope of work
Branding + Website
ABOUT THE PROJECT

Carroll and Pat, both directors on the Peoria Garden Club board, wanted to take the club's website to new heights by incorporating a members only area and getting their information up-to-date. They also needed help with re-constructing their logo from a .jpg file because, unfortunately somewhere along the way, the original vector graphic was lost.

I was able to salvage the logo from a photo, ensuring they had all the files necessary for their future design materials, and built out a brand symbol for their use as a website favicon, social media profile image, and watermark.

The Website

To ensure they could meet new audiences while connecting with their own membership, I built a Members Only portal that members could have access to. Within contains key information that members need, including current directors on the board, the club's newsletter, and committee sign-ups. The site was also built so that they could start sharing articles of information and promoting their yearly events.

The Details

To make it feel like you're actually in a virtual garden, I incorporated real flowers, plants, and insects that connected the sections and content, filling empty spaces while breathing life in to the digital space.

The Result

The ladies from Peoria Garden Club were nervous about whether they would understand and be able to proficiently use their website. Now, they feel confident in their abilities to be able to update content across the site, which has brought new interest to the club and an influx of new members.
